Cordyceps
mushroomAlso known as: Cordyceps militaris, Cordyceps sinensis, Caterpillar Fungus, Dong Chong Xia Cao
About
Cordyceps contains cordycepin (3'-deoxyadenosine) and polysaccharides that enhance innate immune cascades, increase NK cell cytotoxicity, and modulate adaptive immunity. A double-blind RCT demonstrated 38.8% enhancement of NK cell cytotoxic activity after 8 weeks of supplementation in healthy adults.
How It Works
Cordycepin and polysaccharides enhance innate immune cascades, increase NK cell cytotoxicity, and modulate adaptive immunity; supports both immune activation in immunocompromised states and suppression of overactivated responses.
